Excelente referencia para conocer las reacciones del ser humano en las relaciones interpersonales y con el ambiente, explicando la fisiología del cerebro y distinguiendo la parte primitiva de la cerebral. Se demuestra que controlando la respuesta del sistema límbico ( parte primitiva) podemos lograr mayor éxito en nuestras relaciones interpersonales, además de comprender las reacciones de los demás. El autor demuestra cómo es que el éxito académico de una persona es inútil si no tiene un control de tal respuesta primitiva. Información valiosa para líderes, oradores, empresarios, empleados, padres de familia y, en general, miembros de una sociedad.

A significado el conocerme a mi mismo

Gracias le doy a Daniel Goleman por el tiempo y la dedicación dada a este libro, este conocimiento no tiene ni tiempo ni valor, aunque tenga más de 10 años para mi tiene tanta vigencia a como que si lo hubiera escrito hoy. La verdad que yo ni sabía cómo era el funcionamiento emocional e intelectual en general, mucho menos como hacía el cerebro para interactuar con uno mismo y con el entorno que nos rodea.
Gracias a Dios José España que es una gran persona me lo recomendó, lo compré en el mejor momento de mi vida ya que iniciando el año operaron a la mamá de mi esposa de un cáncer en el cerebro (Blioblastoma Multiforme) en el lado frontal derecho, y el libro me enseñó: 1ro. A entender a mi suegra y poder ayudarle a ella y a mí esposa, 2do. Entenderme a mí y poder comenzar un procesos de recapitulación de mi vida, 3ro. Entender a mi esposa y redefinir nuestro matrimonio 4to. Entender a mis hijos y ayudarles a tomar una mejor actitud y decisión ante la vida, 5to. Como trabajo en mi iglesia ayudando a Matrimonios con serios problemas el poder darles una mejor orientación como pareja y como 5to. Punto el entender a mi entorno.
Yo he recomendado a muchas personas este libro, estoy claro que si uno lo ve sin pasión y sin prejuicio es un libro de mucha ayuda para el ser como ser y a la sociedad como su conjunto. Instó a Daniel Goleman el seguir profundizando este tema ya que a como dice: "El nuevo paradigma nos obliga a armonizar cabeza y corazón" y para alcanzar esta meta es el profundizar en el poder controlar la fuerza interna de nuestras emociones.
Recomiendo mil veces leer este libro, a todo el mundo en sus diferentes segmentos y niveles sociales.

Muy buen libro, el autor cree en la evolución y por tanto se desarrolla en base de esta teoría, pero las ideas en general son muy útiles, aunque el lector crea en la creación puede aprender y disfrutar mucho de la lectura.
